Budding Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter will soon be seen in a war biopic titled ‘Pippa’. The actor was last seen in Phone Bhoot, directed by Gurmeet Singh, in which he starred alongside Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi, that film failed to create magic at the box office.
Ishaan’s next is ‘Pippa’, which is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under the banner of RSVP Movies.

Pippa was previously scheduled to release on December 2, 2022, but the release could not happen as per plan. After this, several reports started suggesting that Pippa will release on OTT, stating that the makers of the film are having issues with the multiplex owners. But the creators have denied all these rumours. While sharing a post on Twitter, RSPC released an official statement clarifying the rumors regarding the release of Pippa on the digital platform.
In the post, the makers also stated that an official announcement regarding the release date of Pippa in theaters will be made soon. However, it is now confirmed that Pippa will be released on Amazon Prime Video, on November 10, 2023.

History of Pipa
This war film is based on India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of a liberated Bangladesh. It was a historic victory as the 93,000 Pakistani soldiers led by the then Pakistan Army Major General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi surrendered to the joint forces of the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini of Bangladesh.
Pippa’s story revolves around 1971 war veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta and his family, he was the Brigadier of 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron who fought in the Garibpur Tank Battle after which They entered enemy land and put Bangladesh on the world map.
India won the war on December 16, 1971, after fighting for 13 days with Pakistan. India celebrates it as Vijay Diwas and Bangladesh as ‘Bijoy Diwas’.
